1.) Who Will Be My DJ's?

The owners will be your contacts on site. We never overbook or subcontract. That is guaranteed. Matt and Larry have over 34 years of combined experience in the industry.  Both Matt and Larry are married and have families. We feel it is important for you to know that you are dealing with trustworthy and respectable owners.  We are always here to listen to your needs and blend your ideas with our experience. 

2.) How Much Will My Entertainment Cost?

There are many factors that contribute to final cost. We have packages that can be customized for you, including uplighting, wireless microphones, Master of Ceremony services, and more. Location, day of week, travel and indoor/outdoor all contribute to final cost. Please visit our “Services” page then contact us for a complimentary price quote.

3.) What Kind of Music Do You Offer?

The Purple Haze DJ’s library ranges from the 50’s to current top hits. We utilize professional DJ music services beyond the common download sites. Be wary of DJ’s that exclusively use download services. Many problems can arise, from WI-FI loss to accidental play of inappropriate music.  In addition, we provide you with client resources to help plan your special day with that extra, personalized touch. 

4.) Do You Use Contracts?

Yes we do! Whether you use Purple Haze DJ’s or not, you should only hire an entertainer that uses such a practice. Contracts are used to protect both clients and our business. Your date is reserved with completion of a contract and deposit. Balance is due 10 days prior to your event.

5.) Should My DJ Be Insured?

The answer to this is simply yes! Purple Haze DJ’s insures its business to protect the large investment in running a mobile music company. In addition, insurance gives our clients an added assurance that we take our jobs seriously. There is nothing worse than getting a call the week before your wedding from a DJ who is out of business due to major equipment loss.

6.) Why Such a Variety in Price in the DJ Marketplace?

Price usually reflects the product you get. Many DJ’s use old outdated technology or even home audio equipment.  Others want you to “rent” their equipment and have a family member attempt to be the DJ. Buyer beware of these types of practices. Purple Haze DJ’s are your complete media coordinators. We are more than just music players. We will work with you and your service providers to help make the fun part of your wedding day everything you hoped it would be! 

7.) Should I Check My DJ's References?

You should always feel comfortable in requesting references from a prospective DJ. Also, it is totally O.K. to ask for a free consultation before you commit to anything.  Purple Haze would be happy to meet with you to discuss in greater detail your needs, our offerings & share with you our success stories.
